Autofilling Testing Tool

Welcome! This tool is for testing the 1Password extension's autofilling on pages we can't access publicly. Built by Zaid (Slack @zaid) — all feedback welcome.

How to use this tool
  1. Ask the customer to collect the page structure from the page that has the filling issue. They do this by right-clicking anywhere on the page → hover over 1Password → Help → Collect Page Structure, then attaching the JSON file in their reply.
  2. Create an item in your vault with a test username and password, and set the website to 1ptesting.com. If you also need a one-time password, grab a code from autofill.me/form/registration-2fa.
  3. Upload the JSON file directly below — it'll be auto-converted to HTML. (You can also upload an HTML file if you already have one.) The password is what we call the extension internally (three digits).
  4. Open the preview and attempt to autofill the login item you just created.
  5. If the page structure didn't convert correctly, use an AI tool (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to convert the JSON to HTML manually, then upload the resulting HTML file here.

JSON files from Collect Page Structure are auto-converted to HTML.
